Business is Booming in Paullina
Paullina has several successful business areas, including a vibrant downtown with almost all available storefronts occupied. The hub of Main and Broadway is the core of this diverse offering, including Iowa State Bank, Paullina Hardware & Bike Shop, Thrifty White Pharmacy, plus the Prairie Market grocery store (open 7 days/week!).
This downtown area includes multiple restaurants/bars, retail shops, dentist, eye doctor, Mercy One Family Medicine, several beauty salons, chiropractor, auto body shop, auto glass/accessories, plus offices for law, insurance, accounting/taxes, and more.
Also of special note is Mill Creek Machining, a thriving industrial AS9100D contract production facility, located just east of the City’s water tower. Along Highway 10/Grand Avenue are other key businesses, such as Hohbach Construction & Cabinetry, Mueller Equipment, Casey’s convenience store/fueling stations, Security State Bank, Dollar General & Mill Creek Family Practice.
And that’s not all! There’s also a woodwork/salvage warehouse, quilt shop, antique store, in-home daycares, churches, soft washing services, funeral home, trucking, soil sample, custom pumping and many more!
In addition to the AgState co-op/elevator properties in the heart of town, Paullina is also flanked by agribusiness on both sides, with the Industrial Park to our west housing Bunkers Feed & Supply as well as a Pioneer Seed Dealer, and to our east with the growing AgriVision John Deere dealership. The expanding Roorda Dairy is located just west on Highway 10 near Germantown. Surrounding farmland is highly productive and valuable as our area farmers produce corn and soybeans as well as raise cattle and hogs.
Paullina’s active Chamber of Commerce supports local businesses and community spirit in a number of ways. Learn more here and on Facebook.
